CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR), as one of the premier science communication institutes of the country, publishes 19 S&T journals covering all the disciplines with national and international recognition. Of these 19 journals, 12 are indexed by the Web of Science (Clarivate^TM), in addition to coverage by Scopus and UGC-CARE, NAAS and various other national/international abstracting and indexing agencies of repute, a matter of pride and accomplishment for any academic publisher. The journals have legacy of several decades.

As per the recent JCR (2020) released by Clarivate^TM on 30 June 2021, only 314 Indian S&T journals got enlisted in JCR 2020. Among the 314, merely 104 have Journal Impact Factor (JIF) score, and with 12 such ranked journals CSIR-NIScPR emerges as the 3^rd publisher (Table 1) in India next to Springer (28 Journals) and Kluwert (22 Journals). CSIR-NIScPR contributes largest number of journals and is single publicly funded Govt. science publishing house in India.

The national/international metrics of CSIR-NIScPR journals covered under Physical & Chemical Science Division are given in Table 2. All the journals have wide scope area and are covered under various International abstracting and indexing services including Clarivate Analytics, DOAJ, etc.
